The place

Brasserie d'Olt came to us during a holiday in the Aveyron. We were at a village fête when we first tasted the beers from Brasserie d'Olt. The drinks made enough of an impression that we went looking for more.

So we drove out to the bottling site. The team there are clearly fond of what they do and keen to show off the full range. Brown, white, blonde, American Ale and IPA: there was no shortage of choice.

The drinks are rooted in their ground. Water comes from the volcanic Aubrac plateau, and the hops grow locally, GMO-free. Anyone after something non-alcoholic is also well served: the brewery makes organic lemonades and a distinctively Occitan colt cola that children take to straight away.

The production quality goes hand in hand with expertise and a willingness to experiment. Brasserie d'Olt also opens its doors so that you can step inside the brewing world. With their help, you can even design your own beer and walk out with the bottles.

It all comes together. A piece of ground, people who care about their community, and drinks made with attention. The kind of meeting any épicurieux visitor is glad to make.
