Four generations of Cognac in the Petite Champagne
The place
The Seguin estate lies in Charente-Maritime, at the heart of the AOC Petite Champagne. Emmanuel, an oenologist by training, took over the estate in 2008. He carries on a family savoir-faire four generations deep, sharpened by his own international experience.
The wines are distilled on the estate in a traditional alambic charentais to produce Cognac eaux-de-vie. These form the base of his Cognacs and his Pineau des Charentes, both white and rosé, aged from five to thirty-five years.
Tastings happen at Rouffiac, between Saintes and Cognac. The visit is the way to discover, with Emmanuel himself, what this particular terroir gives.
